I have been a Freelance Technical Consultant and Interim Manager in the fields of maintenance and Facility Management since 2023. In 11 months as Interim Head of Maintenance for a highly automated production facility, I optimised and restructured maintenance and Facility Management. I also advised clients on the commissioning/acceptance of systems and service contracts.

In permanent positions in decades up to 2023, including 7 years at Wacker Neuson, 15 years at Deutsche Bahn (DB Services) and most recently 9 years at Zalando, I have

• planned, installed, commissioned and managed facilities and plants

• set up product management structures for concrete technology, materials handling technology and technical facility management

• developed and introduced a process landscape for a specialized service organization and managed the specialized organization

• implemented numerous projects

• developed and negotiated service, availability and retrofit contracts

• set up, developed and managed teams and divisions for plant maintenance/material flow technology and facility management

for German and international locations.

As a graduate engineer for process engineering, I am used to thinking and acting in an interdisciplinary way. This is helpful for a cross-trade perspective and the design of interfaces with areas such as Health & Safety and IT.

Through close cooperation with various experts from my areas and with external parties (including occupational safety, electrical engineering/EMC, automation technology, building control technology, energy management, field bus systems, condition-based monitoring, visualization, digitization, network/IT, service management, testing service providers), I have a good overview of what is important in plant operation and can draw on a comprehensive network.

I would like to pass on my technical and management experience to advise operators of plants and buildings for safe, economical, process-safe and sustainable operation. I advise on setting up plant operations and review current processes and organizations to identify potential for improvement and make it usable for your company.
